Is it difficult to find a job in the Netherlands?

If you speak English and are from a country in the EU, it is much easier to find a job
in the Netherlands. However, even if you are a Dutch national, finding and finding a
job you enjoy can be tricky.

This is what we expect from you:

Show up and be your best.

How do you know if your CV is good enough?
The next time you ask this question, here is a checklist.

Your CV contains all the important information (personal and contact details,
work experience and education)
It has a good structure, and each piece is clearly separated from the rest

It doesn”t contain any information that could be seen as a weakness (for
example: low grades on your college or school exams)

 It is not too long; one or two pages should be enough
A friend/colleague/family member has read it and given you feedback
No grammar and punctuation errors (this is a major one)
It is the right size

If you tick all these boxes, you wont have to worry about anything.
We wish you the best of luck in your job search.

What about references?
In the Netherlands, collecting employer references is a common practice. With that in
mind, you don”t need to attach them to your resume. You can include a piece of text
in the CV that says “References available on request”.

That”s it!
