Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Foreman – Concrete to lead and coordinate formwork operations on major building and infrastructure projects in the Rotterdam area. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for managing a small team of concrete specialists, organizing daily site activities, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will act as the main link between project management and the workforce on site. This position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands construction planning, and is confident in technical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily concrete and formwork activities on site
• Organize work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress
• Read and interpret technical drawings and ensure their accurate execution
• Control measurements, levels, and alignment before concrete pouring
• Supervise rebar installation, pouring, compaction, and curing
• Ensure all safety procedures (VCA-B) and quality standards are followed
• Communicate effectively with crane operators, suppliers, and site managers
• Train and mentor junior team members, ensuring good teamwork and efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete formwork and 2 years in a supervisory role
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills on construction sites
• Excellent understanding of formwork systems (Peri, Doka, or traditional timber)
• Ability to read and understand technical and construction drawings
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• VCA-B certificate required
• English B1 level required
• Driving license and BSN required
