Hotel Job in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) | €18.90 Gross per Hour

Países Bajos Jobs is currently hiring an experienced Sous Chef for a hotel kitchen in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is a long-term position for a professional chef who can support the Head Chef and help manage daily kitchen operations in a busy hotel environment.

Sous Chef Responsibilities

As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen smoothly while maintaining high standards for food quality and hygiene.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
• Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Monitoring product quality, shelf life and freshness
• Managing kitchen stock and assisting with ordering supplies
• Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized
• Applying and maintaining HACCP food safety standards
• Preparing mise en place and preparations for the next day
• Contributing ideas for menu development and improvements

You must be proactive, organized and able to maintain efficiency in a professional hotel kitchen.

Requirements – Sous Chef Job Netherlands

To qualify for this Sous Chef position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• EU Citizen (mandatory)
• 5–7 years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Experience working in hotel or restaurant kitchens
• Knowledge of HACCP hygiene and safety standards
• Strong leadership and kitchen organization skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
• English communication skills required

Salary and What We Offer

• €18.90 gross per hour (including benefits)
• Long-term position starting ASAP
• 5 working days per week
• Working hours 06:00 – 14:00
• Single room accommodation in employee housing (€131.32 per week)
• One meal provided during each shift
• Approximately 30 minutes commute by public transport
• Travel costs partially reimbursed
• €50 accommodation deposit upon arrival
